The article presents the formation of graphic culture among design students at the present stage. The components of design projects are considered, including: drawings, sketches, drawings made both by hand and using modern computer technology, graphics
programs Corel DRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCad, 3ds max, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Flash, Action Script, Vray. The purpose of the study is to study the methods of forming a graphic culture among design students. The scientific relevance of
the problem lies in the study of modern methods of forming a graphic culture among design students in the context of reducing time for special disciplines. The object of the study is the formation of graphic culture among design students in training. To solve the
problems of this study, special literature is reviewed and analyzed. Modern design projects of the environment are carried out of any complexity. Design technologies are based on existing experience in project activities, on the achievements of recent scien-
tific research. Design projects are carried out by qualified specialists of various profiles, who are required to master a variety of different methods of depicting objects on a plane, performed using both manual labor and using graphic programs, and a creative
approach to design projects. It is very important that students are able to think creatively, constantly replenish their knowledge, understand graphic disciplines, and take into account the development of scientific and technological progress. Modern design
projects at a professional level can only be performed by a qualified designer. The article discusses the formation of a graphic culture using the example of training of design students of the Design and Technology Department of the Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service (VSUES).
